Unselfish Self-care Through the Holidays

Many of us tend to run ourselves ragged during the holidays, but it doesn’t have to be that way!  Come escape the hustle and bustle and make this holiday season full of intentional beauty and joy.  You’ll be empowered to create the experience you want to have while being free to love and enjoy your family and friends.  

Jessica will lead the way in this 3 part workshop series at Center Street Pilates and Yoga in Manassas, VA.

Each workshop will build on the previous one.  Come for all three for the most powerful experience.  (There will be an option to register for each workshop separately if that is what your schedule allows.)

Part 1: The Tools of Self-Awareness

Saturday, November 24, 1-4 pm

You’ll leave empowered to see your life clearly and know how to create the experience you want to have.

Understand the difference between being selfish and being self-aware.  Learn how to solve any problem you’re facing in your life.  Really.  Difficult sister in-law?  Trouble navigating all the holiday food?  Feeling way too busy?  The tools you’ll learn apply to it all.  There will be lecture, discussion, journaling, and meditation to get really clear on what the root cause of your problems is.  Then we’ll use our mats as a laboratory to experiment and experience what we’ve learned and finish with deep guided relaxation.  

Part 2: Identify Your Deepest Needs

Saturday, December 1, 1-4 pm

You’ll leave with a clear knowledge of who you are what you truly need.

When your needs are not met you will fall apart.  The hard thing is— your true needs can often be hard to identify.  The things we want are always right in our face, but our deepest needs may not always be consciously felt.  Come and use the tools of self-awareness to dig deep and identify your needs.  We’ll use Ayurveda (the ancient Indian science of life) and Positive Psychology to shed light on your unique make-up.  Again there will be lecture, discussion, journaling, meditation, a yoga asana practice, and deep relaxation.  

Part 3: Create Nurturing Rituals

Saturday, December 8, 1-4 pm

You will have a deep understanding of what true self-care is.  It will be a part of your daily life, and a part of who you are.

It’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference.  Now that you know what your needs are let’s see to it that they are met automatically.  You’ll design small, simple rituals to weave into your daily life so that you will always feel whole, nurtured, and nourished by simply living day to day. We’ll play with the power of habits as we write, move through a yoga practice, meditate, and completely relax.  Your life will never be the same!
